How the scoring works

Start to finish, with the parts most products leave out.

Frames, across the whole routine

Up to 50 stills are taken end to end rather than a lucky handful from the middle, so a dropped stunt in the last eight-count counts as much as one in the first.
You confirm, every upload

Before a routine is analysed you confirm that the people in it, or their parents, agreed. Faces are not blurred, so the confirmation is asked for every time and kept with the routine.
Only the frames are sent

The stills go to the analysis model. The video file does not: it is stored only in your own account, and only on the paid plans.
Scored against a real sheet

Each category is judged against the rubric you selected — USASF, United, UCA, IASF, High School / NFHS, Pop Warner, Cheerletics or your own — with the deductions named and timestamped, and a total that adds up from the parts rather than being asserted.
Checked against the judges

After a competition, photograph the score sheet. It is read and stored beside our score, and the difference is tracked over the season. That is the only honest way to claim accuracy, and it is why we built it.

What we cannot do, said plainly

We do not blur faces. The stills the scoring model sees show the athletes as filmed, which is why every upload asks for your confirmation that they agreed.
We are not a judge. The score is an informed estimate from stills, and stills cannot see everything a panel sees. The comparison against real sheets is there so you can judge the judge.
We do not recognise athletes by face. Face recognition is paused; if it ever returns, it will be an opt-in per athlete, and the privacy policy will say so first.
We do not rank athletes in public. There is no public leaderboard and no public profile; scores stay in your account and with the family and gym you link.
